Ruth's work is all about memory, history and identity. The demise of the textile manufacturing industry has brought many changes to the social and physical characters of Calderdale. Empty spaces, old maps, records from the mills and old photos have inspired Ruth's work.

Ruth has been recently awarded a place in the National Exhibition, Through The Lens, staged at the Royal West Academy in Bristol

Kate Boyce

Based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, Kate has been painting Professionally for 5 years. Previously an interior textile designer, having completed a degree in Surface Pattern in Stoke-on-Trent in 1990. Kate has exhibited and sold work throughout the North and also at such events as the Affordable Art Fair in London

Sally Darlington

Graduated from the prestigious Glasgow School of Art in the late 80's from here Sally designed carpets for BMK Ltd Scotland. After a stint teaching at Cumbria College of Art, she travelled to Zimbabwe teaching textiles followed by a post as head of Fashion and Textiles in Ghana.

Since returning to the Uk in 2000, Sally has been teaching and exhibiting work throughout the UK. In 2006 she opened ntAMa Gallery in Todmorden.

ntAMa

A graduate from the Royal College of Art, donna is a 3D designer working with knit. Donna has become famous for her knitted creatures, such as Rill, Rudie, Bunny Blue and Canibdol.

As well as her creatures donna has moved into the interior market with her cushions, blankets, trays, sofas and glasswear.

Christopher L. Furminger

Graduated from Leeds Met. Chris creates iconic images often depicting homoerotic scenes. He has been selected for numerous major exhibitions around the UK and has also exhibited with Stonewall New York. Chris has been a regular exhibitor at ntAMa and his work has proved to be very popular, his current work has been created with the gallery in mind.
